A greenhouse horticulture supplier had had a computer program constructed which would help the company calculate the required materials on a project-by-project basis. The program was used intensively every day, in particular for the drawing up of tenders and material lists.

The program had been designed by a self-employed software developer. As far as the technical aspects of the program were concerned, nobody besides the software developer knew how it worked. There was no manual, it was written in an unknown programming language and nobody had access to the source codes, which could lead to devastating consequences. With this in mind, the company’s CEO asked us to rewrite the program. We quickly carried out the job of reconstructing the program and supplying the client with all the source codes, together with a comprehensive manual, all within the agreed budget.
